A few photos from the 'Daughter' aka Elena Tonra EP launch last week in London.

I had the pleasure of watching her perform a bunch of songs from her New EP 'His young heart' a few nights ago...which were very good.

Elena's mesmeric voice was backed up by an awesome production creating some wonderful sounds, at times you could have heard a pin drop, chillingly beautiful.

'Switzerland' was probably my favourite from the evening performed at the end of the show with the band and an accordion...

Daughter is performing around the UK at the moment catch her if you can, definitely worth a watch!

The fascinating story of the nanny who always carried her camera and secretly produced thousands of incredible street photographs....
Vivian Maier was born in New York in 1926, apparently she was a private, determined and opinionated person who lived in Chicago,
Her beyond amazing photography collection was recently discovered at an auction in Chicago which includes over 100,000 medium format negatives, thousands of prints and countless undeveloped rolls of film that contain all of what she discovered through her personal adventures and travels throughout her life. An heartening story and inspiring collection of photographs.
Some of her photos will be on display at the 'London Street Photography Festival' in July this year.

I've somehow managed to see this instrument swapping trio perform twice this week, both times it has to be said were beyond awesome...!* 
So I thought it was worth a mention, these guys in my mind are a massive breath of fresh air and have given live music refreshing new legs. 
Probably the best shows I've seen in a while.
Tall ships are performing in Camden(Barfly) on the 25th of this month and touring the entire country this summer.
definitely worth a watch.

This post welcomes the twenty-second 'Dreamer' and addition to a project I've been creating over the past year.or so. Entitled 'Dreamers.'
Dreamers is a collection of images showcasing commuters asleep on the London underground, to achieve these photographs my subjects are completely unaware I have taken their portrait; this involves patience, opportunity and understanding from those around me.
I have been shooting this project for about a year now and have found myself in many wondrous and unexpected scenarios along the way, the project doesn't necessarily have an end or expected completion date, it's continuous,for now, although I have recently invested in whole bunch of new film so expect morrre Dreamers to be posted on here in the coming weeks and months!

A few photos from a Laura Hocking and The Long Goodbye EP launch this week.

I've been a fan of Laura for a few years since I heard 'lolas bs got ultrazoom' and 'Swim thru' amongst others...so it was super special to see her perform an intimate gig surrounded by fairy lights and comfy sofas. Laura was charming, quirky, her vocals were beautiful and she/they even managed to squeeze in a raffle in the middle of the set...how wonderful. 

*Strongmen and Acrobats was one my of my favs from the night, the harmonies and instrumentation from the long goodbyes were also a delight!

Laura is currently touring alittle bit around the UK, catch her if you can...

I had the pleasure of watching these guys perform a few nights ago in London at a Laura Hocking EP Launch with some friends, I wasn't aware at the time they were playing at the show until I saw a combination of different instruments being set up on stage, which was a little nice surprise of the night,soo I got my camera out and took a few picturrres...

With beautiful voices and sounds to match these girls+a guy are probably ones to keep an eye out for...!
