Fine Jewellery, test shoot

Images from a recent collaboration. I was keen to work and practice with constant light on this shoot, we'd decided it was going to be moody and B&W early on which lent well to the shadowed textured effect I wanted to get throughout the images. With only an hour to shoot the 5 looks the shots turned out well !

Shot on a winters morning after breakfast just before the whole family embarked on hilly walk. I knew something was on her mind but wasn't sure what it was exactly...I asked her to focus on the sunlight coming through the window and hoped to capture her mood through her gaze. I'm intrigued by the intensity felt through this image and really love the subtle colour tones. Shot on 35mm.

Shropshire 2014

test shoot - Florence, Italy

Finally got round to editing this lovely set of images. A test shoot shot back in September 2014 in Florence, Italy. The shoot concept initially involved shooting in a nearby park with lots of sunlight, shooting on 35mm film and keeping things simple in every way...However, in early hours on the morning of the shoot I woke to the moodiest sounds of thunder I think I have ever heard and the rain kept on pouring and pouring and things weren't looking good for us...We almost called the whole thing off until Elisa the stylist new a friend in town who could help us out with a base location which enabled us to explore and shoot down the many beautiful and magical streets of Florence...Team work! thankyou!

Google glass has arrived at Mr Porter.com and I was asked to photograph the snazzy device and come up with a style guide for the product that could work for both Mr Porter and Net-a-porter. This involved shooting multiple eyewear frames in various ways to consistently achieve the most successful angles to portray the product in the best possible way for the customer. Using one light, string and blu tack !
