Press Shots

Had a wonderful time with band 'Goodluck Jonathan' recently...
I was asked to photograph these guys by their record label with a brief to get some "simple/natural press shots" of the band,
We did a hand full of 'set ups' throughout the day although in the end I chose to keep it simple using natural light and a touch of flash we fully explored the local park areas and brought some ice cream's on the way....

Laurence Dacade

French shoe designer extraordinaire Laurence Dacade was in town this week to give the fashion press a sneak peek at her Autumn/Winter 2011 collection and I was lucky enough to have a few minutes with her to have a little chat and take her portrait.... A lovely lady and only 5 minutes and 1 light to get the shots for the feature...*wipebrow.

1 Day 6 Cities - test

1day6cities is a global time-lapse photography project taking place on the 11.11.11 in London, Dubai, Shanghai, Auckland, San Francisco and Sao Paulo. At exactly 00.00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC/GMT) photographers in each if these cities will capture their first image in an event that will see photographs being taken every minute, on the minute for the following 24 hours. The project has been set up by Daniel Alexander 

'The Silver Man' /timelapse above is a test I recently shot for the project leading up to 11.11.11.

I chose the Southbank as the location for my test, it was lots of fun shooting it and the light was beautiful at times, I captured 255 frames in total over the 2 hour period. I like the bit where he goes and has a fag by the tree, checks his phone and then comes back...Looking forward to shooting more later in the year...

Hopefully my test will be selected for the official launch night of the project happening at Mill Co Project on June 2nd.

Chanel Trailer: The Tale of a Fairy

Today Karl Lagerfeld premieres his new Chanel film - starring Anna Mouglalis, Amanda Harlech, Kristen McMenamy, Freja Beha - to celebrate the French super brand's Cruise collection!

-'The Tale of a Fairy' is imagined, written and directed by Lagerfeld and will be screened at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc at the Cap d’Antibes, France and this is a unique trailer from the short film.

"It is a movie about an ill-advised use of money which begins with violence and ends with feeling", Lagerfeld

Acne Studios

Behind the scenes and a little peek at a recent shoot I had the pleasure of Photographing.

The shoot is for Brownsfashion.com and was based around the designer label 'ACNE' , one of my favourite brands* and also features clothing from Alexander Wang, Illesteva and JW Anderson.
-We decided on this occassion to shoot on location with the hope of gaining the correct feel for the brand, which in the end worked well yet a times a challenge with the ever impending and changeable weather upon us on the day, although, It was a great shoot and had lots of fun shooting with my new fancy flash...

sneak peek

A few shots from a late shoot for 'Binary Magazine'...

To introduce: Binary is a new online fashion and arts magazine created by Lewis Chong, a friend and Editor, he created 'BinaryOne' a while ago, which included interviews from Katie Grand, Elizabeth Saltzman and Isaac Lock which proved to be a success and soo the second issue is currently being produced at the moment... Lewis asked if I would like to work with him and contribute, of course I said 'Yesss' - the shot above is from a shoot co-produced by him + I and will appear in the second issue being released online over the next few months.

A few images from a recent press shoot with the lovely guys from 'Tall Ships'

The shoot happened to fall under the same date as 'the wedding' and so after watching it all together with each a pint of  'Willy&kate'  ale in a local pub we got down to business and started taking some photos on the beach.. It was quite a simple shoot with no frills , although I had in mind a soft colour palette I wanted the photos to maintain throughout. An enjoyable and very pleasant day spent with Ric, Matt and Jamie.!

Tall Ships are soon to be going on tour with Three Trapped Tigers and will be doing a few festivals throughout the summer,  

definitely worth a watch, catch them if you can.
