I was just looking through some old images in archive folders on my hardrive and found these shots from a shoot a while back, it was a shoot predominantly shot on Digital although towards the end of the shoot I got my 35mm out and asked the model not to pose. this was the result. these are un-edited but i think i like them that way...

LFW 2010 'Street-style'
It's London Fashion week. Here's a few shots from some more street-style I've been doing recently...Lots of beautiful people, clothes and faces.
Top: A model from one of the shows wearing Alexander Wang sunglasses and an impressive hair-do Below: A fashion writer looking wonderful in Vintage Valentino. Apparently.
- Fascinating, how well prepared each individual was to recite what/where and why they were wearing what they were wearing... An entirely w e l l thought out occasion.

tom from tubelord.
This is Tom. he is the Bass player in Tubelord the band, yesterday I was shooting some Press-shots for them in Southeast London, we found an abandoned space by a railway which turned out nice. I'm editing the photos of the band over the next few days...I took this picture of tom because he kept this expression throughout the entire shoot even when the others members were talking or misbehaving, which I thought was endearing.
He looks child-like with his feet upon the bar, as if waiting for the ice cream man to come around the corner? ...I couldn't not take his portrait.

Harry Borden - Holocaust Survivors
Holocaust Survivors is a series of portraits of Holocaust survivors photographed by acclaimed British photographer Harry Borden. He has now Photographed over 200 portraits and I was lucky enough to go with him to the first one in London in late 2008.
Harry’s approach has been to focus on each survivor’s dignity and humanity. Each participant is asked to provide a hand written statement to be displayed alongside their image to further personalise the portrait. Avoiding ephemeral lighting techniques of current photographic practice, Harry simply uses available light. The lack of production and the decision to photograph people in their home environment creates an intimacy
Such a strong set of images, I am looking forward to seeing them all, I am expecting a Book?, or an Exhbit? Either way I'm excited... click on the links if you'd like to understand the project a bit more.

Vogue Fashion's Night Out - London.
I managed to *snap* Miranda Almond from Vogue and Jacquetta Wheeler (Vogue Model) today in the middle of the fashion mayhem in London today...amongst others. Which was fun!
Jacquetta's legs look deceivingly long yet they stand at a reasonable height together, somethings going on there.
All the same a Fab night! I'll post some more shots from the Night once I've edited them.

VFNO
Hello!
So here's a quick shot from todays shoot, (whilst the hair and make-up was being done) , I'm in the process of editing as we speak, thought i'd take a little break and post this picture...the shoot will be featured on Brownsfashion.com this Friday and you'll be able to see the selected shots and browse through the feature etc and so on.
I really like this shot. it sums up fashion shoots for me, personally.
.Makemebeautiful.

am
This is a picture I of my Mum, Mrs Hatfield to you... It was taken at around 7am as she was getting ready to go to work in the spare bedroom, she's a Nurse and was pre-assessing and preparing patients who were under going Cancer treatment at the time. I shot quite a few frames although this is my favourite, the shape of her towel on her head reminds me of an Ice cream and her various jewellery pieces and little boxes on the window sill adds to the character of my mum in this shot. Taken on 35mm.
Model Casting - No1
Yesterday afternoon I was doing some model casting for a shoot that's happening next week...we saw quite a few models, who were all beautiful and posed equally so although, this was the first and she court my eye, with little desire or need to pose, she just was. The natural daylight that was coming in from behind me lit her face and body perfectly, also with the added blue hazy colour all over the shot i couldn't not take a few extra shots of her. Her militant pose makes an interesting portrait.
I didn't catch her full name.
